Does OctoFlow replace HubSpot or Salesforce?
No. It syncs. Pull companies and contacts onto your map, and every call, email, and LinkedIn touch you log is pushed to the matching contact in HubSpot or Salesforce. Your CRM stays the system of record.
Does it read my email?
Not your inbox. If you connect Gmail or Outlook, OctoFlow reads message headers (sender, recipient, subject, date) to match mail to contacts you already track. It stores the subject line of matched emails on that contact's timeline, along with the text of emails you send through OctoFlow (and, for Outlook, emails you send to tracked contacts from your own mailbox). The bodies of emails you receive are never read and never stored, and email stays off until you connect it. Read the privacy policy.
Do I need IT approval?
Most reps add the Chrome extension the same way they add any other. If your company reviews extensions, the security page has the kit ready to forward: permissions, data flows, and hosting explained for your security team. Read the security page.
How long does setup take?
A few minutes. Add to Chrome, create your account in the side panel, add a card to start your 14 day trial, and put your first contact on the map. The web app at app.octoflowus.com uses the same login and syncs live.
